Working on it! More to come soon!
--
FINALLY! It's Wednesday at 11pm and I SHOULD be in bed but...I felt the need to post this to share with my friends (especially Nicholas' Godmother, Rita).
Nicholas is on the fast track to the terrible two's. He's only a month away from turning 2, and already the tantrums and 'exerting his independence' has started...but with the bad comes the good.
He's pretty much 'poop trained'. What I mean by that is that he goes poop on the potty pretty consistently, even away from home. I just bought a portable potty seat to take with us when we're out, so we'll see how that goes. He'll sometimes go pee on the potty too, but not all the time, so he's still in diapers for now.
We think he's about 33-34" tall. He weighs 26lbs even. So he's hovering around the 50th percentile, as he's had for a while.
Here's a couple of pics:

And how I found him one morning last week (it was so cute I had to run to get the camera!) He was happy to oblige!
We've really seen a language explosion from him. He parrots me all day long, and LOVES it when I sing to him (no nasty comments about my voice - HE likes it and that's all that matters!)
He really isn't into cars or trucks or 'normal' boy things. Instead he's content to play with his puzzles, read his books, or play with me and his magna-doodle. He LOVES to have me write letters and have him tell me what they are, and then I erase it and start over again.
He can recognize the following letters: A, C, H, I, L, O, M, N, R, S, and his FAVORITE is X.
He can recognize all the numbers from 1-13. Here's a little video for you to enjoy - the other morning, at breakfast, I realized he was lining up his raspberries and then counting them. I can't take ANY credit for that. Nick counts the stairs with him each and every time they go up or down them, so it's all from him! And of course, us doing his number puzzles with him. His favorite numbers are 5, 8, and 12.
