It's been a long time since I updated!
So many things to talk about! I guess that's what happens when you don't update your blog for 2 weeks!
Nicholas recovered well from his last 'viral infection'. Saying it that way makes it sound so much worse than it was - which was likely a bad cold that caused a REALLY high fever for several days. Luckily, we've been free of illness since then, but I better go knock some wood just in case.
In the past few weeks, we've:
- Celebrated Greek Easter (before he got sick)
- Gone to Libby's BDay Party (Nicholas' first kids party)
- Met up with Adrienne & Teagan (we met online and she lives near Lansing)
- Had the house cleaned professionally (especially great news for me!)
- Gone to a Tiger's Game
- Celebrated Mother's Day
There's been so much...we feel like we've been going non-stop for a while now. Hopefully, things will start to cool off a bit before we leave for Hawai'i. We leave on July 4, so that's 1 month, 3 weeks and 1 day until we leave!
One thing that I haven't done in a while is give some stats! Nicholas weighs about 20lbs (or more). He is wearing 12mos clothes and up. He's very tall! He has been doing a lot lately, including scooting on his butt to get to his toys, rocking back and forth while sitting, going from sitting to his tummy, and his newest feat? Learning how to clap when I say "Yeah!" or play "Batti Manini" with him.
Greek Easter was a lot of fun! It was held down at Jim & Beth's house, so that made it very easy for Nick and I to take Nicholas. I ended up winning the 'red egg game' which means that I'm supposed to have a year of good luck & prosperity!
What else is new? We had a lot of drama last week! I came home from picking up Nicholas to find blood spots on the floor. It turns out Chloe's toenail was bleeding and there was blood ALL over the house! On our bed, on the off-white carpet, on the wood floor (that had just been cleaned on Monday). Luckily, Jim & Beth were home and came to my rescue since Nick was at golf.
The outing to the Tiger's game was a big success! We went online and found out we could take our diaper bag and stroller (so long as it fit under the seats) so we took our Combi that my mom & dad got us. It folds in a tri-fold fashion so it's not much bigger than an umbrella stroller when folded. We took a lot of pictures and Nicholas looked so cute in his little Tigers hat and outfit! One of the ticket takers even said that Nicholas had "Magglio hair" which was referring to the curls that were peeking out from under his hat in the back - like Ordonez' hair!
Mother's Day was celebrated by me opening my gifts in the morning. Nick got me a gift certificate to ATL - Ann Taylor Loft - my favorite store for work clothes. He also got me a gift card to Old Navy from Nicholas. And...three stainless steel charms - two girls and a boy. One for Angelina, one for Gabriella, and one for Nicholas.
We went over to Meier Flowerland and picked up a hanging basket to take out to the girls' grave. Since the weather was yucky (rained all day and was cold) we couldn't do our original plan of going up to MSU's 4-H Children's Garden to visit the girls' brick and take pics of Nicholas.
This weekend we plan on staying home, and getting some work done around the house. We have to work on our flower beds all around the house - they were neglected last summer since I was pg and so this year they really need a lot of work!
Please see new pics of Nicholas in the albums to the left!

I LOVE all the new pictures! I'm so glad we were able to meet up before our babies got too big :) I can't wait to get together again! Teagan wants to pull Nick's hair again ;)

I had a few minutes today and stopped by for a quick peak. Your new pictures of Nicholas are wonderful. I cannot believe how much he is growing and changing. His first haircut will be amazing when he will change from a baby to a toddler!
I have missed our regular talks since you have returned to work. And of course, I am always on the go and sometimes hard to reach. I hope you realize I am always willing to talk and listen when you need a friend. I didn't understand until today you have had some difficult days recently. I just tend to get self absorbed and busy trying to keeping track of what I need to do each day.
I thought of calling, but I thought this would be a nice surprise to let you know that I am thinking about you today. Also, I do not question why you are a member of LAPOM. I just think of you as a friend and expect you to return again and again. Take care of yourself, Nick and Nicholas. - Lori
